When I moved to Adelaide last month I was unquestionably excited to hit the Adelaide food scene as I have only heard amazing things. I must say when it comes to finding a cafe I really like atmosphere is a big part of the experience. I love cafes where I can enjoy not only the food but somewhere I can relax and feel comfortable too.
The Annex Cafe ticks both of these boxes. Located in Glenelg, The Annex provides a range of food and drinks that also pack a nutritional punch. The annex offer a variety of breakfast options from chia seed puddings, smoothie bowls and breakfast bruschetta, as well as a solid lunch menu with sandwiches and wraps, salad bowls and some foodie favourites like zoodles, salad bowls and "soul bowls" which offers a mix of marinated veggies, homemade crackers, hummus and sauerkraut.
I indulged in the cottage pie and salad, pairing it with a snickers smoothie.

The Chai Vanilla Dream was a nice refreshing mix of almond milk, dates, vanilla and chai spices.

The Annex offers a good range of healthy meals with many gluten free, vegan and vegetarian options. It is a great cafe that is hidden away from the main street, with a nice relaxing atmosphere you can unwind and nourish your body at the same time.
