Now that bars are open again, it's time to head out to one fantastical adventure in which you will journey into the magical realm of Wonderland.
I'm talking Alice in Wonderland and it's an immersive cocktail experience you won't want to miss. Mad like the Mad Hatter, this 90-minute topsy-turvy fun at The Wonderland Bar will see you at the tea party to end all tea parties.
It's a theatrical, alternate reality escapade that will take you down the rabbit hole and through the looking glass where you create two bespoke Wonderland cocktails, solve riddles and challenges (just like Alice), play croquet with a flamingo, devour 'Eat Me' cake, paint the roses red, and so much more.
Brought to you by the team behind The Wizard's Den and Beyond Cinema, this event hosted by The Mad Hatter will adhere to all hygiene and Covid-19 restrictions, and no flamingos will be hurt in the process.
The Wonderland Bar is primarily a cocktail bar and a unique one at that. Located at 24 Bayswater Rd Potts Point, it prides itself on delivering exceptional fun through creativity. The Alice experience makes for a great afternoon/evening and will set you back $49-54 per adult. Bookings are available through Eventbrite with sessions from Weds-Fri 3pm-11.30pm and Sat-Sun 1pm-11.30pm. A family session is available on Sat 11 July. You can also hire out the entire venue for your own function/event Ė simply email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Arrive early and, before joining the madness of the steaming tea party, head to the main bar for a cocktail fit for the Queen of Hearts. Check out the drinks menu here, with decadent cocktails that have sour sherbet rims, white chocolate foams, fairy floss and submerged cherry croquet balls. Red and white wines are available too, along with beers and cider, and spirit shooters. Snacks include crisps and a range of pizzas.
