If you love Oysters then you must check out the Adelaide Oyster Bar . With a range of flavours for fresh and grilled oysters, this is a great casual dining option for any oyster connoisseurs.

Oyster Bar isn't the type of place you'd head if only a few of your dining party enjoyed this shelled delicacy. They don't just specialise in oysters, but it is almost all that they serve. There are some other light options like grilled prawns, dips, smoked salmon, or a cheese board, but if you're making this your main destination make sure everyone will be happy with it. Oyster Bar can be a great place to head for an entree, before grabbing a main meal somewhere else down Rundle Street.

For those who do like to dabble in oysters, the menu features a range of different options for every taste. Their chilled oysters of course come natural, but can be topped with cocktail sauce, wasabi mayonnaise, or balsamic vinaigrette. For their fancier flavour combinations you could try Oysters Caviar, with salmon roe and sour cream, or Oysters Thai, with mint, coriander, basil, spanish onion, capsicum, and a special asian sauce. There are six different chilled options to choose from.

If you can't quite handle raw oysters, or like to try a bit of both, then the grilled oysters also have got some interesting flavour combinations. Of course the most popular choice is Oysters Kilpatrick, which has bacon and a Kilpatrick sauce, these can be found at most places that serve up oysters. For something a bit different check out their other options, like the flavour explosion of Oysters Pesto, or the warming choice of Oysters Darleyfella, a spinach and mornay topping baked with your oysters. If you just can't choose then you might want to go for the Oysters "Errol Flynn", where you can choose any four styles to enjoy as a dozen.

You can choose from half a dozen to a full dozen, and the best way to enjoy them is to come along with a large group of friends so that you can try all of the flavours. Inside is a friendly bar where beer bottles are chilled in an ice wall, and you can check out the record holders for the oyster eating wall of fame. You can try and beat it, but keep in mind the current record is quite a few dozens, at least you can get your name on the board.

For a laid back evening meal, or a great place to begin your night, head to the Oyster Bar. A short walk from Rundle Street, offering indoor and Alfresco dining.
