Giving up smoking. Saying 'NO" to chocolate. Deleting your profile on Facebook. These are just a few of the New Years Resolutions I heard at the beginning of this year. Most of them were never started, some were broken within the first fortnight. If this sounds familiar to you, never fear. You have another opportunity to give something up or challenge someone else to and help others while you're doing it.
The 21 Challenge occurs from the 1st of June until the 21st of June. It involves challenging yourself, your friends, your family or colleagues to do or not to do something for 21 days. Why bother? I hear you ask. The answer is to do something to entertain yourself while helping to combat youth homelessness. You can get sponsored for the event and raise money for Open Family Australia who provide a range of outreach services for homeless youth. The event finishes on the 21st of June because it is the longest night of the year and often the most difficult time for the homeless.
