I am a retired English teacher who has retired from teaching but not from life, which I intend to live to the full. With all my hobbies, I'm busier now than ever with my art groups, small business and gardening.

Wear, Recycle, Renew And So It Goes Around
Bibs And Bobs And Bric-Brac
I just love to fossick through bric-a-brac, knick-knacks and bits and pieces both old and new. ThatPlace, a gift shop in Medina, satisfies all my wants and needs.
A Place To Relax and Take Stock
Unassuming from the front, ThatPlace opens up like a magical world and eclectic is not the word for it. It's hard to know where to look first. The decor of the shop is early 20th century with the walls covered in excerpts from old newspapers. There are several comfy lounges that encourage customers to rest, have a coffee and catch up with the local gossip.
Vinyls That Go Round
Vintage to now vinyl records, old books and preloved garments are just some of the delights. Sam, the owner, ensures that all items are first class. ThatPlace also supports local artisans and the shop includes handmade jewellery, works of art, hand-dyed silk scarfs and more. She also has a philosophy about recycling; NO plastic bags here.
Wanted, A Good Home For Pre-Loved clothes
The store is only open on Saturdays and Sundays from 9 – 1 pm and is well worth a visit but you need time to behold the wonders that you'll find. ThatPlace can be found at 13 Pace Road, Medina.
All The Staff At Work
Sam, the owner, can be reached on 0451221464 or email ThatPlaceinMedina@outlook.com. You can also catch up with Sam on her Facebook page
Sam had an idea, which is now a reality and Medina is all the better for it.
