I am a retired English teacher who has retired from teaching but not from life, which I intend to live to the full. With all my hobbies, I'm busier now than ever with my art groups, small business and gardening.

Shop til you drop
A Unique Range of Recycled Items.
ThatPlace may be under new management and it may occupy the same space at Pace Road, Medina, but things have changed. It still has its quirkiness with a focus on a range of upmarket, quality, recycled fashion. Now there's a range of cute children's wear, toys too. The emphasis is still on retro but there's now more clothing, shoes and accessories both for men and women. Love those heels.
Shoes To Die For
One of the main objectives of ThatPlace is to encourage local art, craft and artisans. Some of their items for sale include a unique range of handmade bags, jewellery, hand embroidery and hand dyed silk scarfs. One-offs as gifts for that special someone. At present, there's also a display of photography by the clever Jessie Kay. Hung work, art, sketches and photography are to be displayed and rotated on a regular basis.
You'll be pleased to know ThatPlace has now increased its opening hours from Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday, 9 am – 2 pm. All this means more time to stop by, browse and more time to shop. Check out their Facebook page. You can also email them at ThatPlaceinMedina@outlook.com
Make the most of your Saturday mornings. ThatPlace is opposite the Medina Markets: why not have a look around. At the same time grab a paper and lotto from the newsagent, a coffee from The Green Barista and vanilla slice from the bakery (yummy). Then just sit back, relax and enjoy the sun. What more could you want? (check out the newsagents, it must be the smallest in Perth).
Welcome, Tina Klimaitis to ThatPlace.
Still an Eclectic Range of Finery
If you have previously had your work displayed at That Place it is safely stored out the back and Tina would love to chat about being a featured artist.)
