Though it may look a bit unassuming, Thai Spice Restaurant along Grange Road at Grange is a good place to enjoy Thai cuisine. Service was quite efficient, with our dishes not taking long to arrive after we have placed our order.
Their Larb Gai had a generous amount of minced chicken which gave the dish its meaty texture. The spices used in the dish gave it a flavour that was a bit similar to a curry and a scattering of crushed peanuts provided some crunch. Freshness was provided by the bed of shredded lettuce the minced chicken was served on.

We liked that the flesh of the Crispy Beef was not too tough. The crisp coating set off the flesh well. The sweet chilli sauce that the beef was tossed in imparted it with a delectable sweet-savoury flavour. A notable feature was the deep-fried rice noodles included in the bed of lettuce that the beef was served on. They added a lovely crunchy element to the dish.

The chicken that we chose for the Red Curry was cooked just right and the vegetables in the dish still retained a bit of bite. The degree of spiciness of the gravy was that which made eating the dish a satisfying experience and kaffir leaves imparted a distinctive Thai flavour. For those not in the mood for chicken, the dish is also available with beef.
