Deliciously simple authentic Thai food
The simple things in life are the best. That is what we found at the Thai Kitchen Restaurant in Wilston the other night. Upon walking into this place along Kedron Brook Road, we were instantly put at ease. The simplicity of this small restaurant was only overshadowed by the intense flavours of the food.
The Thai Kitchen is a family run restaurant, seating about 50 people. It reminded us of a large homely dining room. We were greeted by a very friendly and appreciative hostess who made us feel very welcome.
Accompanied with a nice bottle of white wine (BYO with no corkage charge) our food was promptly served and thoroughly enjoyed. The Green Curry was one of better Green Curries that we have eaten in a long while. You have the choice of mild, medium or hot. We had chosen hot which wasn't mouth numbing but rather very spicy and tasty.
The restaurant caters for most tastes and had a nice selection of vegetarian dishes. It is open for dinner Tuesday to Saturday, 5.30pm to 9pm with last order taken at 8.15pm. There is ample street parking and due to the popularity of the restaurant, I would suggest reservations especially for Friday and Saturday night.
My husband and I had a very pleasant dining experience and would recommend this place to our friends. We would also return here to eat to be able to try out some of the other delicious looking dishes on the menu.
The simple things in life are the best and are there to be enjoyed.
