Our busy schedule, involving driving our sporty and talented son to his various trainings for football, led us to trying out this little Thai Restaurant down on the south side.

Thai Home is located in Logan, in Chatswood Village in Springwood. No doubt a place probably only known to locals. We tend to seek out those smaller, "local" places for a quick bite to eat as they tend to be friendly and usually very welcoming. Thai Home was very much this way. The staff greeted us warmly and were quite helpful and accommodating in their service.



Our love and appetite for spicy Thai food was especially rewarded here. We started with the mixed entree ($9.90) It is our way of sampling alot of the entree items. This mixed entree consisted of spicy fish cake, curry puffs, spring roll and chicken satay. Very tasty and a promise of what was to come.

For the main meals we chose Red Duck Curry ($19,90) and the chef's special of the day - soft shelled crabs on a spicy salad.($19.90) to share. The Duck curry was served spicy hot and both my husband and I were very happy with this choice.



The soft shelled crabs was a good dish but probably wasn't exactly what we were expecting. They could have been a little warmer and needed a little more spice for our taste.

The restaurant seating area was separate from the take away area, which was good as it was a little more private and intimate. The walls were adorned with lovely large pictures and photos of scenes from Thailand.

Thai Home is open 6 nights a week from 5pm to 9pm (closed Monday) and is BYO.



My husband and I are always happy to find another good restaurant to dine at, especially in locations that are close to our son's training fields. Another one to add to our "list".
