Any day of the week you'll find this restaurant buzzing with people, enjoying the delicious fare that's on offer. Originally located on McGregor Terrace at Bardon, the Green Mango moved to Ashgrove last year and has been well patronized since.
The decor here is subtly Thai influenced, fresh and welcoming. Diners can choose to sit inside or outside, with umbrella heaters keeping you warm outside in the cooler months. Staff are very friendly and attentive and service is great.
I last dined here with two friends, sitting inside as all outside tables were filled. Between us we ordered three different entrees to share: curry puffs, golden parcels and coconut prawns. All three were little morsels to be savoured and set the taste buds up for the main course. Servings here are generous so we ordered two mains to share: Thai Green Chicken Curry and Thai Red Beef Curry, served with delicious coconut rice. This is mouth wateringly good Thai food! The only problem you'll have is deciding what to choose off the menu. We were all way too full to order dessert. In fact, I have never managed to fit in dessert here. Perhaps if you like your desserts, skip the entree - although I'd hate to miss out on those yummy starters. The Green Mango has a great website, so you can check out what's on the menu.
