I'm a resident of the northern suburbs of Adelaide, keen to share interesting ideas for weekend activities, especially but not exclusively, north of Gepps Cross.

When Too Many Quilts is Never Enough
If you are a crafty, quilting type, like myself, you will not want to miss the quilting extravaganza on show in Gawler this weekend. Over two hundred quilts in nine venues, will be showcased by several quilting groups, as well as dolls, hats and embroidery. All the following venues will be open from 9-4, on Saturday 13 and Sunday 14 October:

Gawler Institute, Murray Street.
National Trust Museum, Murray Street.
Guide Hall, Tod Street.
Country Women's Association, Tod Street.
Gawler Community Gallery, Gawler Railway Station, Twenty Third Street, Gawler South.
Wright Quilt Shop, 32 Main North Road, Willaston.

The following two venues will open 9-4 Saturday and Sunday afternoon, due to church services in the morning:

St George's Church, Cowan Street
Zion Church Hall, Cowan Street.
