I enjoy writing about Adelaide and its many attractions. If you think Adelaide is boring,
the problem is not with Adelaide.

Following on from the exotic and high flying exhibition Feathers Exhibition at Format Gallery in Adelaide, curator Kat Coppock is soaring into the unknown with Tetratologists Inc.
[ADVERT]Tetratologists Inc. is an exhibition of art based around mythological figures, manifestations of pop-culture into the world of the real, or secrets buried deep within the self.
The works presented here will be varied and completely unique.
From glass work and projection art to watercolour and glow-in-the-dark hand carved figurines, here is both the cute and the challenging, and ultimately it is bound to disturb you in the fuzziest of ways.
To associate with this fear, we coagulate it. Shape it from a metaphysical concept into a physical object we can see, influence, or battle. We demonize our insecurities in the hope of driving them back into the cupboard, or bury them in the earth. We give them shape, form, and colour. We give them a name, a sense of power, so that by fighting them we may retain our own power.
This exhibition of art from Australia has been created by 22 local emerging artists. I'm just not sure whether they are still emerging from Feathers, or whether they had found a new dark vault in some sepulchral crypt, so that they can better induce a sense of fear when we first view their creations.
