Vietnamese New Year or Tet Festival has been successfully celebrating the rich diversity of Vietnamese culture, food, entertainment and pure joy of life for over 10 years in South Australia. The two day festival will be held at Regency Park Reserve, Days Road on the weekend of February 10th and 11th from 10am to 10pm daily.
This traditional multicultural festival, annually brings together the local community, metropolitan Adelaide, interstate and international visitors to celebrate the traditional Lunar New Year, and to offer the opportunity for family members and friends to reunite and wish good luck to each other.
Throughout the two days, hundreds of people from different cultural backgrounds attend and are involved in the festival to help enhance the spirit of multiculturalism and diversity in our society. The festival showcases Vietnamese and multicultural dance groups, Dang's Thao Ensemble,folk dancing; belly dancers, the Community Music Band, Just Martials Arts display and a fashion parade.

The ever popular, Miss 'Ao Dai' Competition and Children's 'Ao Dai' competition, for ages 4 to 25 years, features contestants wearing long traditional Vietnamese dresses of all different styles and colours, enriching the Vietnamese cultural flare of the festival.
The festival preserves the true spirit of the Vietnamese "Tet" New Year with something that is sure to please family members of all ages with children's rides and games, karaoke competition, chess and Chinese checkers competition and, of course, delicious, flavourful food. You won't want to miss the spectacular fireworks display that will be the highlight on Sunday evening.
