Though there are many festivals throughout the year, the Lunar New Year Festival (Tet festival) is one of the most significant and biggest festivals for Vietnamese. On this occasion, many major cities in Vietnam have organized fireworks.

Below are some places of the countdown fireworks if you have plan to travel to Vietnam in Lunar New Year, you can enjoy:

In Hanoi, the capital of Vietnam 12.00 am to 12.15am on 10th February 2013.

5 places with high-range fireworks are as follows: Hanoi Post Office in Hoan Kiem district
Headquarters of Hanoi newspapers in Hoan Kiem district
Garden in Lac Long Quan Street, Tay Ho District
Van Quan Ho, Ha Dong district
Thong Nhat Park in Ha ba trung District
The National Stadium My Dinh, Tu Liem District.

Low-range fireworks at 24 places in 24 districts, including: Ba Dinh, Hoang Mai, Long Bien, Dong Da, Cau Giay, Thanh Xuan, Me Linh, Gia Lam, Ba Vi, Son Tay, Dan Phuong , Thach That, Chuong My, Thuong Tin, Quoc Oai, Phu Xuyen, My Duc , Ung Hoa, Dong Anh, Soc Son, Phuc Tho, Thanh Oai, Hoai Duc and Thanh Tri.

In Ho Chi Minh, the biggest City of Vietnam:

4 place are as the follows:
The mouth of the Saigon River tunnel, District 2 (high range fireworks)
Dam Sen Cultural Park, District 11
Memorial Temple Ben Duoc, Cu Chi district
Culture and National History Park, District 9 (all are low range fireworks)

There will be many roads decorated with spring flowers in the old quarter of main cities of Vietnam during Lunar New Year Festival. There are also many special festival program offers such as folk shows; cultural and art programs, lion dance, etc. It would be great to experience Tet festival in Hanoi.
