Come and see these stunning gardens with flowers in bloom
KaBloom Festival of Flowers gives you a terrific opportunity to visit amazing fields filled with millions of colourful blooms.

You will also be able to enjoy never before seen festival entertainment, join in the fun activities and eat delicious foods. KaBloom is the perfect family outing - it's child-friendly and you can even bring your dog as long as it is on a leash. Check out all the plants and you could also bring a picnic to have in these ideal surroundings.

The Tesselaar Tulip Festival is a festival that has been running each spring for over 60 years. The fairly new event of KaBloom builds on this history and a blooming bonanza in autumn. This will give you double the opportunity to enjoy the world of flowers! The flower fields will be the perfect opportunity for many selfies.

This fabulous outing will be on from 6th to 28th April 2019. The hours for this festival will be from 10.00 am to 5.00 pm every day. The Tesselaar Flower Farm is situated at 357 Monbulk Road, Silvan.

There will be visually spectacular fields of autumn coloured blooms which will be filled with colours. Some of these include:

Snap Dragons

Plus many more

You will also have plenty of off street parking available as well as clean toilet facilities.

Fields of Fabulous Flowers
This is really what KaBloom is all about, the splendour of millions of flowers. You will see them growing across five acres of planting in the Dandenong Ranges. The fields will be rainbows of colour.

Bespoke Flower Circus
You will be treated to a show like no other as flower fairies, sprites and pixies will appear from the magical woods to entertain you. These shows will be a delight and amid the colourful blooms.

The troupe of circus artists is from the prestigious CircaNICA (the circus agency of NICA - National Institute of Circus Arts). There are scheduled shows and there will be some surprises as unexpected performers will pop up from surprising places as you roam the farm.

Daily Circus Show
Every day there will be The Circus Firemen who will perform their world-renowned show. Angus and Matilda are acrobatic performers who balance on ladders, juggle with fire and do some amazing feats of daring. There will also be some comedy thrown in with this act which will be on daily at 1 pm and will last for 45 minutes.

Eggcellent Egg Hunts
Easter is all about chocolate and on the farm there will be special Easter egg hunts. These hunts will run every day from Good Friday to Easter Monday, 19th to 22nd April. This hunt will cost just $10, and you can book at this link and read more about it there. Everyone who enters this hunt will receive a pack of Cadbury eggs and some bunny ears.

There will be a storyteller in the fairy garden. Teague will tell you tales of the Silvan Glade and all the fae who live therein. Teague will tell tales of magic and much more. These stories will be told in the magical Fairy Garden daily at 11:30 am and 2:30 pm.

Fairy Garden
There is a magical glade on the farm which is home for various fairies and their assistants. Fairies love flowers, so of course, they flock to this area to be among these flowers. They sleep during the day and at night they do their magic and look after the flowers!

Crate Maze
The Flower Bulb Crate Maze is back! This is a tricky labyrinth and this year it will be slightly different from last year.

Treasure Hunt
Seven flower fairies are lost, and here you will need to find them while you amble through the gardens. You will need to write down their special colour and you could win a prize. This event is for all ages and great fun for families or groups.

Obstacle Course
An obstacle course is a new event this year, and it will be a challenging course for everyone to enter. The first weekend there will be an added element of colour, and the option of a Colour Run at noon and 3 pm. You will be able to hurl powdered colour at your friends, yourself or strangers as they take on the course!

Garden Games
There will be games such as:
Giant chess
Giant Jenga
Totem tennis
Giant noughts and crosses

Historical Gardens
As well as the fields, the actual gardens will also have masses of flowers. Why not have a cup of tea or coffee and sit and chill while amongst this idyllic place.

Tractor Train
The tractor train will depart from the Tulip Station regularly. It will follow the course and take in the stunning scenery as it tours the farm. You will hear all about how the farm began and how they are grown and looked after. Cost is $5 for ages of four and above and under four are free. Groups of four are $15 per group.

This year, there will be locally made flower chocolates made by renowned chocolatiers Kennedy and Wilson. There is also a Souvenir Shop who will have a range of flower-themed gifts.
