The beautiful Tesselaar Flower Farm in Silvan, located in the magical Dandenong Ranges, will open to the public in an Autumnal celebration of blooms this April.



The KaBloom Flower Festival is a new festival running over the Easter school holidays and celebrates nature's explosion of colour as five acres of garden come into bloom.



The Tesselaar Flower Farm is most famous for its annual Tulip Festival held in Spring, however, this means the Flower Farm is not open for the public to enjoy for the remainder of the year. As such, fourth-generation nurseryman, Paul Tesselaar said they had been looking for another way to share the farm during the year. "While the Tesselaar Tulip Festival is a wonderful event, it's only four weeks of the year," said Mr Tesselaar."KaBloom gives us another opportunity to invite people into our paddocks and interact with colour and nature. It also continues my family's strong tradition of sharing their passion for cultivating and growing plants that began over 60 years ago."

The KaBloom Festival will run from 30 March – 15 April and celebrate some 1.2 million flowers bloom into waves of colour over the hills.



A festival is not a festival without activities, and this KaBloom will see themed family fun days to entice Melburnians into the Dandenong to enjoy this colourific time.

30 March - 2 April

The KaBloom Festivities kicks off with a mouth-watering Chocomania weekend. Being that this is Easter weekend, expect a visit from the Easter Bunny with Easter egg hunts and live entertainment daily with Cheek to Cheek and the Tracey Roberts Trio.

3 - 6 April and 9 - 13 April

Family Fun Days on the aforementioned dates will see daily shows from The Mik Maks, Bethany Fisher and Full Circle Drumming Workshops (first week) and The Kazoos, Trash Test Dummies and Ruccis Circus School (second week).

Enjoy treasure hunts, a petting zoo and giant garden games over the course of the day.

7 - 8 April

Get funky in the fields with KaBloom's Rock the Fields weekend. Dust of your dancing shoes and get down to the tunes of The Itchy Fingers and Honey B and the Stingers all weekend.

There will also be dancing workshops, a car display, and market stalls with a great range of 40's & 50's fashion to enhance your Rockabilly or Pin-up inspired look.

14-15 April

KaBloom brings colour to a new level during Colourific Weekend.



Browse the annual Garden & Plant Expo and enjoy live entertainment from Fused and Bollywood dancers The Naach Box. If that's too tame you can join in on our Colour War. Wear white for maximum impact!
