Terrestrial is the story of Liddy, a young lady who moves to a remote South Australian town with her mum seeking escape. Liddy is different, quirky, eccentric and obsessed with aliens and quickly makes friends with Badar, another youngster just like her: witty, cynical, lover of sci-fi and an outsider.

The town and community is collapsing and quickly becoming a ghost town in the wake of an impending mine closure and the two friends closely connect as they embrace their shared eccentricities. However, when Badar disappears, Liddy is left to explore her most recent past and find the point where reality and fantasy divide.

Terrestrial is the State Theatre Company debut for Jill Blewett Playwright Award winner Fleur Kilpatrick. Directed by Nescha Jelk (Gorgon, Othello), this play ideal for 9 to 12 year olds is set to engage the mind and touch the heart with a cast including Annabel Matheson and Patrick Jhanur.
