Design your own artsy tray

A small tray is helpful for so many things. There are definitely things that you can use them for you can store keys and little knick-knacks on them. Or you can just use it as a decorative piece. There is nothing better than having something like that than to also be able to claim that you made it. You can tell everyone that you used your own hands to make something so beautiful and actually mean it. So if that is something you want to be able to tell people and be telling the truth, then you will want to head to the Terrazzo Trays Workshop .



In this workshop, you will get to create the trays, using any design you like. You can choose the colour and the design of terrazzo chips, which means that your final product will be completely up to you. Not only do you get to choose what chips you will use, but you will also get the chance to make the chips yourself. You have guidance from your teacher and when you leave the workshop, you will have the opportunity to create the terrazzo tray and a coaster. This will protect your tables and it will match your super cute tray.

While you're there, you can bring your own favourite beverage- have a soft drink or some nice refreshing alcohol. The venue is BYO only, but you are allowed to bring alcohol if you like. You can add on a grazing box to nibble on as well.

Make sure to wear clothes you don't mind getting dirty. You do get an apron, but things get a bit messy when resin is involved. And then your trays are going to harden and be glazed overnight. You have to make sure that they are ready for your home, after all. You can pick them up on the next day, or they will hold them for 7 days. Make sure to collect as soon as possible otherwise, they may have to throw them out as they don't have a lot of room.

If you want to take part, head to the Cab Canvas Studio in Myaree, on Sunday, 8th of October. There are not a lot of tickets available, so make sure that you book tickets as soon as you can. They are $109 per person, but they include everything required. The workshop starts at 2pm, and will be finished at 4pm. And then on the Monday, your trays can be in your house, so you can show them to everyone or give them as a gift!
