in North Fitzroy has undergone many renovations in its 150-year history as a beloved local pub and dining venue. The COVID closures have seen another reinvention and it is now back and better than ever.

They've created a garden space which can accommodate groups and the outdoor space at the front has been extended. The crew have done as much as possible to ensure that their loyal customers have a place to enjoy.

We snagged a window table in the indoor bar, with a view to the outside settings where we watched a guide dog in training and the regular passing of trains and traffic rounding the corner of Punt Road. It was a return to normality, sipping on a wine and contemplating 'normal' life again, in the company of other people.



Our entrees arrived and were as delicious as the menu descriptions promised. A cob loaf loaded with baked garlic cloves and Camembert was a decadent start to the meal. We also ordered the Halloumi with honey and thyme; the sweetness of the braised fig cutting through the salty cheese a delectable juxtaposition.



I couldn't go past the classic pub Parma for my main meal; it has been way too long between visits to a pub for me to order anything else. This one was big and juicy with excellent chips. Exactly what I'd been missing for so many months. My companion ordered another pub classic, the beef burger, which was similarly delicious and insta-worthy.



Drinking is always a pleasure here. With 16 rotating craft beer taps and a full range of wine, cider and spirits, we were spoilt for choice.

COVID restrictions have meant some changes to normal operations. They are practicing safe social distancing with tables spaced 1.5m apart, reduced numbers in the venue at any one time and strict cleaning and sanitising practices.

The Termi is offering two sittings at lunch time, Thursday - Sunday and three sessions during the dinner service, Monday - Sunday in their on street dining space, beer garden and at their indoor tables.
