The 3D rendering of the much-loved Terminator 2: Judgment Day has just got everyone talking. Put 3D and Arnie together, the already classic movie just goes up ten fold. The 3D version of Terminator 2, Judgement Day is all set to hit the cinemas on August 24th.



What the viewers can expect is to see the original movie, that was restored from film and then calibrated in 4K and converted it to 3D using Stereo D. And what it came to be on the screen was pretty spectacular. The 4K restoration has brought out every little detail and presented it in absolute clarity with the the bright colours, great contrast and gives an absolute facelift to James Cameron's masterpiece. For me, it wasn't just the thrill of watching Terminator 2: Judgment Day in the cinemas (as many of the Terminator series lovers were probably not even born at that time or too young to remember) but it was also a chance to appreciate good cinema and flawless storytelling yet again.

As a sequel to the original Terminator in 1984, this one brings back the cybernetic organism, Arnold Schwarzenegger, to protect John Connor the future world leader. As they fight the liquid metal man (Robert Patrick) in their quest to re-write the future and avoid Judgement Day, they fire shots, plot escapes and blow up research facilities all in 3D spectacular. The graphics in the opening war scene with the machines was done good justice in 3D, and throughout the movie every time a shot was fired, it brought the third-dimension into action. However, very soon into the movie, I forgot that I was here to watch a movie I have seen before (but in 3D) and all I could remember was the adrenaline-pumping chases across the city and the thrilling effects. Terminator 2: Judgment Day is an absolute classic at all levels. The screenplay, the storytelling and the action is an exemplary example of great cinema.

The movie is in cinemas for a limited time, Terminator 2: Judgment Day in 3D promises to bring all the thrill back to Terminator fans on the big screen. Time to relive the action of this epic movie. If you aren't convinced yet, watch the trailer.
