Budding artists of all ages are welcome to come along and participate in a class; whether you are a beginner or of an advanced skill level, there will be a class to suit your needs and interests.
To enrol please inform Debra before the start of term via phone/text or email and transfer the term fees to commonwealth bank account, Debra Pickering, B.S.B. 064174, Account number: 10336520. The full cost is $38 for 3 hours x 10 weeks = $380 (students use their own art supplies). A $38 discount is applied if you are paying for the full term which reduces the fee to $342.
The classes run Tuesday to Saturday inclusive, 9am to 12pm daily, Saturday 1pm - 4pm and 6pm -9pm Wednesday evening.
In each class participants will learn a range of new techniques and work with a variety of mediums under the guidance of facilitator Debra; these include Acrylic, Watercolour, Gouache, Pen and Ink, Mixed Media, Pastel Painting and drawing in Pencil, Watercolour Pencil, Pastel, Conte, Charcoal, Pen and Ink and Graphite Sticks.
Classes are held en plain air when weather permits or in the funky art studio, offering great light for creating art. The studio also features inspiring tropical gardens with outdoor tables and chairs for students to enjoy the healthy morning or afternoon tea that is provided. Classes limited to 8 students per session.
An art exhibition is held at the end of the year showcasing students' work, many of which are for sale (artworks that have been created using copyright images as reference material will not be sold).
Students starting at a later date can pay for the remainder of the term pro rata (the remainder of the term) at $45 for 3 hours. Students paying casually, pay $48 for 3 hours.
Participants are not required to bring materials to their first class, at the end of the first class a small list is provided to students enabling them to purchase the art materials required for their second art class.
After the first lesson students who haven't bought along their materials are welcome to use the art tutors, this will incur a $10 fee per lesson. Students are also welcome to purchase art supplies from the art tutor.
This is a great opportunity to try your hand at something new and exciting, as well as a fun way to meet like-minded people.

Create your own stunning liquid acrylic. Just let the liquid flow, amazing to see the results! $60 covers all materials except the art canvas. Bring along your own 70cm x 70cm canvas or just ask the tutor to provide one for $13. Two sessions available - 9am -12pm or 1pm - 4pm. Contact Debra to book and pay.
A healthy morning & afternoon tea provided, but please bring your lunch.
Cost: $200 – Includes a completed piece of artwork no larger than 30cm x 30cm, all tiles, embellishments, glue, grout, sealer, tools, protective glasses, gloves and materials are included.
This price also includes any base such as a plaque (you can tile with your house number or a decorative flower or butterfly, etc;), a wooden/terracotta food serving tray, a round terracotta serving tray, a rectangular terracotta succulent/plant pot, or a larger square, clay pot. Designs are provided or you can bring along your own design idea. It's lots of fun and you get a beautiful piece of artwork to take home.
Group art parties for a maximum of 10 people are also available. $60 includes:- all art materials and canvas, 1 bottle wine, snacks and nibbles. Great art parties for Hen's, birthday's or work.
