Teralba Park Children's Playground is a colourful, shady place for kids to explore

Teralba Park, Osborne Rd, Mitchelton lives up to its Aboriginal name, meaning "Big Trees." The spacious, shady park, lies close to Brookside Shopping Centre and borders Kedron Brook.

There are several popular BBQ shelters and a highly recommended children's playground. The playground has plenty of swings and slides, but the added feature is a maze of living vines. Kids chase each other for hours around and around the maze and climb up the 'tower' to get a bird's eye view of their hidden friends.

There is also a sandpit, pretend "pet cafe", and historical mosaic depicting an infamous 1936 fire whereby locals formed a human chain of water buckets in order to save nearby houses.

Teralba Park is a fun space to spend an afternoon, especially if you're searching for a park with a difference and plenty of space to run and explore.
