Let your nose do the walking
If you are not sure where The Tempting Tangerine is, just wander along Brice Avenue and your nose will let you know when you are there.

Tempting aromas permeate the air when you are close and like sirens of the sea, you are drawn to them, but not to your fate, unless your fate is well-being.

The shopfront.

The first thing you notice on entering is a stand of delicious milkshakes. The wrong shop, you may think, but they are candles, in 6 different, flavours, sorry, fragrances, although they are named, Very Vanilla, Tropical Tangerine and Strawberry Champagne.

They do look like real milkshakes, complete with straw, but the instructions say to remove straw before lighting wick.

Melissa is the Tempting Tangerine who has been in Mooroolbark for three and a half years.

Almost all of the products are made on the premises, with the most popular item being candles coming in 25 different fragrances.

All products are made from natural ingredients with the candles made from soy wax. Most normal candles are made from palm oil, with the palm oil plantations depriving Orangutans of their natural home. Some cute little fluffy orangutans watch over the candles.

Apart from the cute orangutans, there are other just as cute soft toys available.

A nice range of hand-crafted jewellery is available, all made by Melissa's mother.

Along the centre of the shop is a large display of gift hampers, which would make an ideal gift that's a little bit different. Although there is a large range of items in the hampers, they can be custom made up from any of the merchandise available.

If you look up a little, you will notice many cushions, each on different come with Australian made hypo-allergenic inserts.

Apart from the main product of candles, you will find handmade soaps, bath and body products and skin care products.
