With over 70km of beach, Adelaide is blessed with one of longest city based beaches and blue-est waters in the world. Stretching from North Haven to Sellicks Beach, it is difficult to see it all in one go, that's unless you are in a plane or on a large cruise ship.
But let's imagine that you are floating on the water off the coast of Glenelg with those beautiful beaches to the east of you, a sunset to the west of you, and a glass of sparkling wine in your hand. Perhaps with a bunch of friends, or perhaps a romantic evening with a loved one. Sounds tempting ?
It sure does, and with the assistance of Temptation Sailing, your imagination can now become your reality. On most Friday and Saturday evenings between October and February, and for two full weeks around Christmas and New Year, Temptation Sailing invites you to board their 58-foot sailing catamaran for a twilight trip of a lifetime.
The catamaran, aptly named Temptation, departs the Holdfast Bay Marina just prior to sunset and takes guests on a 90-minute cruise offering them stunning views of the picturesque sights of Adelaide, the glorious beaches, and the beautiful lights along the foreshore of Glenelg. And all of this occurs whilst you relax and enjoy a quiet beverage with friends or make new friends.
Cruises start at $29 for adults and $20 for children, and the catamaran is licensed to carry up to 50 people. A small range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages are available on board, and guests are encouraged to bring some light foods if they wish to eat while travelling. The catamaran then returns to the Holdfast Bay Marina with its many and varied dining options sure to have something for everyone's palate.
