The newest boutique cafe on the specialty coffee block
Tell Henry is a new cafe joining Adelaide's burgeoning boutique coffee scene. Situated in an old car garage on Parade West in Norwood, Tell Henry has a stylised and minimalist look, which is in direct contrast to the passion and detail given to every brew.
Owner Brad is a Canadian native, having resided in Australia for the past 10 years. He was approached by a design firm in sharing the Tell Henry site, which only adds to it's cool vibe.
Using Industry Coffee out of Melbourne Brad has constantly changing single origins on offer as well as an ever available house blend. I had an espresso of his Hondourus single, which I am happy to report had all the citric and berry notes he described to me when preparing it. I even got a second because he was not happy with the first. Amazing the difference 5 seconds of extraction can make.
Food wise I did spy a few pastries and finger foods on offer on the bench. And while I was extremely tempted to dive into those baked goodies I had to refrain (I have a tournaments to train for - but that is another entirely different post).
Just shy of a month old, Tell Henry is fast becoming a great place to stop and pick up a great brew. Another fine example of how Adelaide is getting its coffee scene right!
