Saturday October 31st, at 5.00pm, join Teesdale Primary School at The Teesdale Turtle Pavilion, Teesdale.

The Teesdale Primary School students will be leading a twilight lantern parade down the main street of Teesdale, starting at 5.00pm. The students, as well as Teesdale residents have been preparing for "Live@Turtle Bend", the annual concert and lantern parade.

There will be lots of musical talent - listen to funk band "The Kite Machine" as they lead the concert. Supporting acts include Glitch (a rock band), Joshua Dower (solo artist) Et Cetera (a folk pop reggae act) and Black Lilac (a Geelong pop band).

If you head out to Teesdale for this annual event, you can listen to the winners of the Regional Battle of the Bands, who will be performing at the event.

The Regional Finals of the "Push Start" Battle of the Bands were held at the Turtle Pavilion on Saturday October 24th. The Regional Battle of the Bands was organized by FreeZA Youth Development Program. The Regional Battle of the Bands is being supported by the Turtle Events Committe, Oxygen Music College and Meredith Music Festival.

Live@Turtle Bend is a free community event. It has been organised "by the community for the community". During the lantern parade, the primary school students will be led down the main street by Teesdale's new drum circle.

The evening is funded by local sponsors, with the Teesdale Primary School students creating the parade lanterns. There will be warm fires and hearty refreshments available.

Come to Teesdale for the lantern parade, for the music, to listen to the drummers, and to experience real community sense and enjoy the culture. Bring your friends and family and listen to great live music in a fun, festive atmosphere. There will be food and drink and a program of entertainment between the bands to keep your feet tapping all night.

Teesdale is about 30 minutes out of Geelong. It's a thriving community in the Golden Plains Shire. The grand rotunda is inspired by Spanish architect Antonio Gaudi, and it is shaped in the likeness of an eastern long-necked turtle.

Facilities at Turtle Bend rotunda include the pavilion, toilets, barbecue, on site power, a children's playground and parking spaces. There is also a nature walk.
