Teenage Acting Classes

Event: -
Drama With A Difference is one of Australia's leading, independent drama schools. With a history that spans more than twenty-years, their teenage drama classes have always been a major focus of the school.

We are now taking enrolments for Term 2 classes for those in Secondary School (ages 12-17).

Many teenage actors have begun their careers at Drama With A Difference and gone onto to become extremely well-known actors. We are a group of professional practitioners with an excellent reputation for providing young talent to the industry. At the same time, we present young people with a realistic view of the industry, encouraging them to make their formal education a priority.

We cannot make any guarantees as to who will and won't go on to become an actor, and the major reason for attending our classes should always be that of learning more about the craft of acting.

Although our classes are a must for aspiring young actors, we are equally committed to providing classes to the recreational student. Drama classes are a wonderful tool for any young person. Drama is a wonderful way of increasing self-esteem, improving upfront presentation skills, getting in touch with your creativity, making new friends, or simply having fun!

We are as committed to our shyer students as we are to our outgoing personalities and all are welcome. The classes are run in a non-competitive environment, which is nurturing of all young people.

We are now taking enrolments for Term 2 at our studios in Clifton Hill and Kew.

This term students will begin to work on a play that will be presented later on in the year as part of The Melbourne Fringe Festival. This is a very exciting opportunity for students to be seen in a major theatre festival, and this is one of the ways that students have been discovered through our school in the past (Although it is not by any means the only way). We can provide interested and talented students with ethical contacts within the industry, and help to point them in the right direction.

Our comprehensive website gives you all necessary information about our history, philosophy, students of note, past feature films, TV shows and Theatre Productions that our students have appeared in; costs, venues, times and days of the week. You will also gain a solid understanding of who we are, and see the background of our immaculately trained and experienced staff. All staff have current working with children permits.
