This colourful festival has everything. It has all the usual fiesta attractions such as live performances, an activities zone for the kids' amusement and delish food trucks from a wide variety of cuisines (The Brat Haus is a favourite). But it has so much more, even its name is over the top: The Technicolour Multicultural Festival 2019 marks its seventh annual outing and it keeps getting bigger and better.
The highlights include FREE face-face painting for the little ones, lots of market stalls (yay), workshops, carnival games, rides and inflatable bouncy castles in the Kids' Zone. I hope you are feeling lucky as there are going to be some big prizes in the giant raffle draw.
This year it is being held on Saturday 24 August from 10.30 am to 4.30 pm - a whole day of fun and entertainment with free entry. It is located at 23 Foster Street in Newmarket. You can park your car in Foster Street and the surrounding areas. Or better still, take the shuttle bus from 212 Ashgrove Avenue, the Newmarket Bowls Club, and Spencer Park.
Kid Zone (May Cross)
The festival is presented by MCC at Newmarket. Proceeds are supporting a worthy charity - the AEIOU Foundation. Bring the whole family for a great fun day out. And best of all? There is FREE entry and everyone is welcome.
