Is this Brisbane's best Asian Vegetarian restaurant?
The Tea Master Vegetarian does Asian vegetarian excellently. I am not vegetarian but I love to eat vegetables. Asian vegetarian dishes incorporate many different flavours and textures. Many Asian people eat vegetable dishes nearly everyday whether they are vegetarian or not.
Enjoy many varieties of noodles that include Thai Tom Yum, Malaysian Laksa, Japanese Miso and Chinese flavours. They have a number of rice dishes, once again with flavours from many nations. They also have the best Asian tofu dishes that I have tried in Brisbane.
Variety of Asian dishes
Dishes are clearly labelled if they are vegan or if there is the option of vegans. There are some fake meat dishes but I prefer their regular vegetable dishes. If you looking for fake meat you would be better off going to the Kuan Yni Tea House down the street.
The menu for drinks is larger than for food. I recommend trying one of the Asian style Milk teas, though they also have iced tea, regular tea, coffee, milkshakes, juices, frappes and smoothies. They also have several herbal and health drinks as well. With seating inside and out this can be a nice place just to sit back with coffee, tea or some other drink and relax.
The dessert menu is fairly small but as the main meals are very generous in size there is no reason to need a big dessert.
Unfortunately it is only open during the day from Monday to Thursday but opens for dinner on Friday and Saturday nights. I am really glad I found this place so I can get my fix of Asian vegetable dishes and tofu.
