Bring those knitting needles and crochet hooks out of the woodwork and craft an entry into the 2019 Tea Cosy Comp. Entries close 5 July 2019. See HERE for complete information. Post your entries to Tea Cosy Competition, PO Box 109, East Ringwood 3135; or it can be left with Annemarie at the tea rooms at the Lavender Farm or Chris and Sandie at Lorenti Café, Park Rd (near the corner of Hopetoun Rd), Park Orchards.
All entries will be displayed at the Warratina Lavender Farm, 105 Quayle Rd, Wandin, Yallock, from 13-21 July 2019 from 10am to 4pm each day. Those of you who do not knit or crochet, but would still like to help this worthy cause, are welcome to make a direct cash donation or donations of soft toys, tea cosies and other craft items to the fundraiser. It would be appreciated, and all donated items will be sold with 100% of the proceeds going to the Cancer Council. Please send in donations by Friday 12 July 2019.
Please note that the tea cosies or other items that you send cannot be returned. They will be displayed and sold at Warratina Lavender Farm, to raise money for the Cancer Council. Any that remain unsold after the display will be sold at Lorenti Café, or at markets and other events from time to time with all money raised donated to the Cancer Council. If you're looking for inspiration, check out the tea cosy images on Facebook, and you can see HERE (scroll way down the page) for some free tea cosy patterns.
Love it! Just wish this event wasn't so far away. There used to be a teacosy festival at Bundoora Homestead which was much more accessible via tram if one doesn't drive. Still, this is no doubt a perfect setting for gorgeous crafts☺
