The Tea Centre is an Australian-owned business. It has a huge variety of quality tea available. The tea's quality is checked by their German contingent. The German part of the business ensures strict quality controls are met.

The store is most welcoming. At the entrance, you will see teapots which may tempt you to try a variety of black, green or herbal teas (including proper chai tea leaves) that you can try. It's a novel idea and has brought me into the shop a number of times.



The shop is set into three different sections. On one side you have the implements required for teas, so think teacups, tea caddies and portable tea/coffee carriers. On the other side, you have tea varieties and you can even sample the smell of them. You can actually see the leaves that have been used to develop each of the particular types of tea. Behind the counter, there are their bespoke tea varieties that you can get a minimum quantity being 100g and up to kgs of tea.



The staff are friendly, welcoming and are knowledgeable about the tea. This is now one of my favourite tea shops to go to in Melbourne.
