If you are after a filling but cheap lunch, it is quite hard to go past a trusty Vietnamese bread roll, also known as a
banh mi.
Vietnamese bread rolls are quite common these days and can be found in many places, such as snack bars, food courts, and even food trucks at certain festivals.
Now there will be an endless debate on which one is the best, but for me, it is hard to go past Tay Do Takeaway.

Tay Do
Located in the suburbs of Woodville Gardens, not many people would actually make the trip or drive out there just for a bread roll, unless you live close by. If you do however make the effort to go there, you will certainly not be disappointed.
Being Vietnamese myself and having tried many other bread rolls around the area, Tay Do is still my favourite destination.
The price has gone up slightly over the years, which is fair enough, but it still represents great value and 100% deliciousness.

Deliciousness inside
My favourite roll is the simple yet humble cold meat roll. Containing various cold meats, pickled carrot, coriander, cucumber and a flavoursome meat paste, you can also add fresh chilli to it if you are after a bit of spice.
Other rolls include crispy skin pork, vegetarian, lemongrass chicken, just to name a few.

They also have various other snacks such as sticky rice, spring rolls, vermicelli noodle bowl, and many meal deals. Too many yummy choices will definitely keep you coming back - nice tactic Tay Do Takeaway!

Busy inside as always
