With one of the finest views in Melbourne that covers an almost 360 degree view of the city, Taxi Kitchen at Federation Square, corner of Flinders and Swanston Streets, Melbourne, is a dining experience to remember. It almost feels like they've become a one-stop shop for an entertaining evening, where you can let your hair down and enjoy a relaxing meal after a hard week at work. There's always something happening as far as events go, and here are a couple to look forward to in 2024. Be sure to put the dates you're interested in, in your diary. Sat 20 Jul 12-4pm - Christmas in July - a four course sharing feast and perfectly paired beverages that'll make your taste buds dance. Don your best 'worst Christmas jumper' and compete for a hilarious prize. See FB post for the menu. Spaces are limited so secure your spot now.

Thu 15 Aug 7-11pm - Truffle Dinner - an annual event, be wowed by a mouthwatering truffle-infused menu and again, perfectly paired with exceptional wines. Stars of the show, the beloved truffle dogs will be making an appearance.

You can also hop in for a Taxi Kitchen Showstopper daily from 12-3pm and 5pm to late and celebrate Victoria's finest seafood and produce. Enjoy six delightful tastes across three courses, perfect for before or after Melbourne’s iconic experiences like theatre, sports, or gallery visits. Another repeating occurrence is the FML (Feed Me Lunch), from 12-3pm daily. Choose any 3 small plates and 1 large plate to share for the table. This is the express lunch option that'll have you charged and ready for whatever comes your way, so why settle for a boring sandwich for lunch? Get back to work ready to take on whatever the day brings.

For all other events, check the Melbourne Transport Hotel's website , and you'll find there's lots happening at the public bar too with Taco Choose Days, $15 pizzas, $15 cocktails and fondue, oyster hour and more. There's also live music to look forward to in the public bar, over the weekends, with an amazing lineup of talent. If you love Andrew De Silva the 'Prince' aficionado, you'll find him a regular in the public bar. I've seen Andrew a few times, and he's an amazing vocalist, a great entertainer, and a pretty good sort too.
