Nestled in a quiet little area in the depth of Hawker street Taverna Greek Psistaria is another of Adelaide's hidden gems. Finally getting the chance to visit this little slice of Greece after hearing mouthwatering stories about everyone's visit.
A decent sized restaurant with plenty of space and a blue and white theme to match that Mediterranean food. Make sure you go with a BIG appetite and a group that's willing to share, the servings are enormous and you will definitely order more than you can eat.
Their menu has a multitude of options including a mixed grill; everything is cooked to perfection and you have the option to try a little bit of whatever your eyes so happen to land on and trust me once you see others receiving their meal you get that butterflies inside your stomach feel of excitement.
Try a trio of dips the perfect starter served with toasty pita bread its quite filling itself with a combination of tzatziki, fish or my personal favorite capsicum.
Lately, every time I go somewhere there is a seafood platter I have been eyeing off, I'm not quite sure if the serving 'suggestion' was intended for one or two people but this glorious and mountains pile of seafood was too much even for my husband and me to share and we both have quite hardy appetites.
I must say this is one of the most impressive restaurants that have actually lived up to its repetitions, which is quite rare these days. We left with big smiles, a full belly and even a little bit left over for lunch the next day.
