A free scenic run in the environs of Lake Taupo is held at 8am every Saturday morning. has been running since 21 January 2017 and is well organised with a friendly group of local volunteers. The pathway has permanent distance markers and there are toilets and car parking near the start/finish.



Run, jog or walk with by yourself or with friends and family. Well behaved dogs are welcome. You will be sure to enjoy the course as it is a beautiful and peaceful part of the lake away from the town. heads south from Two Mile Bay reserve for 2.5km on a flat shared trail pathway with the turnaround point near Four Mile Bay.



As with all Parkruns, you need to be registered and take a printed copy of your barcode to the event. Registration is simple and only needs to be done once no matter where you run anywhere in the world.



As Lake Taupo is a popular tourist destination, the volunteers are used to welcoming people from countries such as the UK, South Africa and Australia. If you go the Two Mile Bay Sailing Club for post-run coffe.e you could even make some new friends.
