Vegetarian food is generally considered "boring", but if correctly made, it can be a tasty as well as an healthy option. We bring some fail proof recipes that will leave your taste buds satiated and happy.

1) Corn on the cob:

A perfect partner on those grey, rainy days.

Simply soak corn in cold water for ten minutes and cook it in a pan or grill it in the oven for 15 to 20 minutes, turning it regularly.
Add a dab of melted butter, lime zest and a sprinkle of chilli powder.

2) Barbecued Cottage Cheese:

Try this recipe and you are guaranteed to become the culinary expert in your group.

Take a pack of Paneer (Indian Cottage cheese) and cut it into small squares. Slice capsicums, red onions and tomatoes into 1" cubes.

For the marinade, mix some curd, red chilli powder (according to taste), salt, one teaspoon lime juice, a tablespoon of ginger-garlic paste, two teaspoons of oil and two tablespoons of barbeque powder.

Mix all the cut vegetables and the cheese. Refrigerate for 2-3 hours.

Skewer the pieces on thin skewers and grill them in a preheated oven for 20-25 minutes in 200 degree celsius.

3) Bean Toast:

Lightly butter one side of bread, take tinned baked beans and spread a dollop on the buttered side.

Add some salt and pepper. Bake it in a preheated oven for 15-20 minutes in 180 degree Celsius.

Sprinkle some finely chopped parsley before serving.
