Have you ever enjoyed a delicious dish from Portugal? Whether your answer is "yes" or "no", here is a Melbourne event worth heading to. The "A Taste of Portugal" festival will be celebrated at the Queen Victoria Market on Sunday the 10th of June, Portugal's National Day, between 10am and 4pm. Boasting stalls and performances to entertain and delight all ages, it is an event for the whole family.

Some of the foods you can sample are a carnivore's delight. They include:

Bifano no Pao (Pork Steak Sandwich) : A pork steak sandwich with a gravy sauce.

Rissois de Camarao (Prawn Rissoles) : Crunchy rissoles with prawns in a creamy filling.

Frango no Churrasco (Charcoal Chicken) : Charcoal chicken with a delicious smoky flavour.

The hot tip for the Taste of Portugal Festival is to go and enjoy the delicious food for lunch a little early; it is a popular event and queues can get quite long.

After the Taste of Portugal Festival explore the rest of the QVM

Once you have finished enjoying the Portugese food and entertainment you can do a spot of shopping at the Queen Vic Market.
