Good food, entertainment and a family day
Sydney's favourite food festival is back!

The Taste of Coogee Festival is now in its sixth year. It is a celebration of great food and wine by Sydney's iconic Coogee Beach and organised by the Coogee Chamber of Commerce.

It will be held on Saturday 1st and Sunday 2nd September 2018, which is, of course, Father's Day weekend. The venue is the Coogee Oval, Brook Street, Coogee Beach.

The day is a celebration for lovers of fine food, wine and beer and showcases local talent and fare. Also being showcased are local restaurants, cafes, delis and other food-based businesses. This day promises to be full of foodie lovers delights! There will also be entertainment on the day, including MasterChef cooking demonstrations and other foodie shows and demonstrations.

As well as cooking demos, you will be entertained by local musicians. Just a few of the line-up for the festival are:

Batch Brewing Company who will have craft beer refreshments.

Sugarcane, a popular Thai cafe.

Arepa, who will be serving a mouthful of pure delight. Eat them with traditional Arepa fillings including shredded beef, chicken salad, and black beans and cheese. Yummo!

Poke will be serving their delicious fresh poke, with a dash of Hawaiian love.

McLeish Estate come thoroughly recommend with their delicious whites, particularly the unique semillon chardonnay.

The Avairy is a bus and here you will find Scott Gooding, Manu Feildel, Mindy Woods and Sheridan Buchanan-Sorensen on Coogee Beach.

The Aviary will be the place to be at this year's Taste of Coogee. Here Manu will be serving his delicious burgers by Duck In and Duck Out. Scott will be hosting all weekend for Whirlpool and Mindy will be making gourmet offerings, while Sheridan will be busy taste testing the many, many wineries coming along.

Burger Barrel Coogee will be serving great burgers here.

Sofrito make the best Paella - the real Spanish way - another one not to miss!

Mr Bao is always a favourite with a Vietnamese and Japanese twist. Make sure you check them out!

And there will be far more which you can check out at the website, as well as their Facebook.

Children will also have plenty to do with rides and the gorgeous parkland and beach-side areas of Coogee.

There will be a Father's Day Long Lunch again this year, and you can book for this at this website.

This will be held in the private marquee in front of the centre stage so that you will be able to watch all of the entertainment.

Tickets include entry to the Taste of Coogee event, one ticket into the Father's Day Raffle, welcome cocktail, beer or wine. But wait, there's more - also included is antipasto and oyster plates on arrival, a decadent assortment of share platters including souvlaki, poke bowls, paella, truffle burgers, South American barbecue, dumplings and more, plus delicious desserts and cheese platters. Beers, wine and ciders will be provided throughout the lunch.

For those people who are over 18, you will be able to purchase alcohol and an RSA age check is required.

For $15 this check will provide visitors with a wristband, a souvenir tasting cup, and one token redeemable for a "tasting" drink at alcohol trader stalls. To save time, combined entry/drink ID tickets for over 18 year olds are also available for pre-purchase on this LINK.

Come along to the Taste of Coogee Festival and enjoy a fabulous day with the whole family.
