A Taste of Chittering is back on Sunday 26th August 2018! Experience the ultimate in country flavour at this unique, FREE family-friendly event, proudly hosted by the Shire of Chittering at the beautiful Nesci Estate Wine Farm!

A Taste of Chittering is an annual community event which showcases the very best food & wine producers, local artisans and talented creators & entertainers from the quaint country region of Chittering, just a short drive away in the northern valleys of Perth.

Held from 10am to 3pm, there will heaps of fun and interactive activities and events for all the family to enjoy!

Event highlights include:

  • Sip unique award-winning wine, beer and cider in the Bendigo Bank Tasting Shed and then buy your favourites to take home.

  • Shop at a diverse range of country market stalls offering homemade preserves and spice mixes; arts; wildflowers; crafts; upcycled fashion & accessories; fresh produce; gardenware & homewares; natural beauty products; children's toys and so much more!

  • Savour your lunch in the beautiful surrounds of Nesci Estate Wine Farm or relax in one of the stylish Nordic cabanas at the Bindoon IGA Picnic Village, available to enjoy delicious fresh food in, amongst a picturesque country setting.

  • Enjoy a great selection of activities, demonstrations and live entertainment all day including native and farm animals for the children to enjoy, presented by local carers Chittering Wildlife Carers and Emerald Acres.

  • Learn from Slow Food chef Vincenzo Velletri, who will bring friends to create interesting, unique delicacies using local produce from producers and bush foods in the area. Curious tasters can sample these offerings in the Northern Valleys News Producer Lane, where local producers will talk about their ingredients and chefs will walk through their creations.

  • Win the ultimate Chittering experience, including a night's accommodation at the picturesque Treetops Guest House for a couple or family with a delicious breakfast the next morning, a wine experience with Nesci Estate Wines, including a take-home pack, and dinner for two at Stringybark Restaurant.
