Taste of Asia

Home > Melbourne > Community Events | Festivals | Food and Wine | Restaurants
As part of the Melbourne Food and Wine Festival on the 22nd of March, Taste of Asia will be bringing together some of the biggest names in the industry to curate an Asian feast for a cause to benefit the Blue Dragon Children's Foundation - a charity supporting disadvantaged youth and victims of human trafficking in Vietnam.

The dinner will feature creative Asian inspired dishes from Spice Temple, Coda, Lucy Liu, Sake Restaurant & Bar and Mama's Buoi, with bespoke cocktails from Four Pillars gin and wines from Adelaide Hills staple Shaw and Smith. There will also be big name chefs attending to personally prepare their dishes, including Coda's Adam D S'ylva and his yellow duck curry with jasmin rice and taro chips and Lucy Lui's Michael Lambie and his rare breed sticky pork belly with red nam jim and young coconut salad.

To add some comedic flair to the evening, the night will be hosted by Nathan Earl and Chris Taylor, part of the alumni founders of the "The Chaser's War on Everything" and more recently, the popular TV show "Plonk." Held at Luminere, the space will be styled by the Style and Co. with guests being transported to the Asian tropics through rich green foliage and bold pops of colour.
