All aboard for four days of festivities and fun in Albany
A new coach tour from Perth to Albany will give foodies an opportunity to sample three events as part of this year's Taste Great Southern.
The four day package from April 5 to 8 will take passengers on a journey that combines gourmet food, premium accommodation and first-rate transport.
Albany's Busy Blue Bus will provide the transport and Albany's Quality Apartments Banksia Gardens will provide the accommodation and Taste Great Southern organisers have provided tickets to three of the festival's premium events, Wish You Were Beer, Albany Wine & Food Festival and the Light It Up Feast.
The Taste Great Southern Express's Perth to Albany run takes city folk to such popular events as the Albany Food & Wine Festival.
Included in the $770 per person package is return transport from Perth to Albany, three nights' accommodation with breakfast at Quality Apartments Banksia Gardens and tickets for Wish You Were Beer, Albany Wine & Food Festival and the Light It Up Feast.
Wish You Were Beer on Friday, April 5 takes place aboard Albany's historic Brig Amity where guests will be entertained by sea shanties, tasty seafood, beer from local brewer Wilson Brewing Company and wine from Great Southern Wine.
Albany's Quality Apartments Banksia Gardens will provide the accommodation and some fantastic fare.
Amy Hamilton from Albany's much-admired Liberte restaurant, a Good Food hat winner for 2019, will provide a degustation of six tapas.
Matty Wilson of Wilson Brewing Company will provide the beers and The Shantymen will be providing the evening's entertainment.
The Albany Wine & Food Festival on Saturday, April 6, is an opportunity to sample some of the best of the Great Southern's hospitality with wine, craft beer, cider, spirits, food, local produce and tourism.
There will be a host of award-winning wines and fresh produce to try and an opportunity to rub shoulders with celebrity cook Adam Liaw, to build up some wine knowledge at a wine seminar, be inspired by guest chefs at a cooking demo, buy local produce and enjoy tapas-style food accompanied by great live music.

The Light It Up Feast on Sunday, April 7 will provide VIP access to the extraordinary light installation the Field of Light: Avenue of Honour while enjoying the region's stunning local produce from local chefs and guest chef, Adam Liaw, a former winner of MasterChef and host of SBS's Destination Flavour.
Adam will provide the inspiration for the six-course tapas menu, which will feature the seasonal produce of the region including local marron, oysters and seafood, grass-fed lamb, heirloom vegetables, berries and dairy.
The food will be matched with local beverages as guests experience the inspiring art installation.
Thousands of visitors are expected to travel to Albany for Taste Great Southern and the Taste Great Southern Express will provide a VIP experience for people wanting to experience the food and wine of the region in comfort.
