Lebanon via Nepal in Granville.
is a social enterprise initiative of The Benevolent Society, as part of their Growing Communities Together project. The tours are based in and around multicultural South West Sydney.
Held on selected Saturdays, these family-friendly guided walking tours will take you around culturally diverse suburbs such as Harris Park, Bankstown, Greenacre, Lakemba, Campsie, Belmore, Fairfield and Strathfield - and now these popular tours are being extended to Granville and Guildford for the very first time.
Treats of Tripoli is being held as part of Good Food Month - Streets of Sydney. The event date is
Saturday 19th October and the tour will centre on the distinctive cuisine found in Guildford's 'Little Tripoli'. Participants of this tour will sample delectable meats, scrumptious Lebanese pastries and pizzas, as well as mouth-watering fish dishes of Tripoli's seaside city, El Mina.
Lebanon via Nepal will be held on
Saturday 2nd November and will take visitors to 'Lebanon' via Granville, while paying a visit to Nepal and India. The food trail will consist of visits to grocers, cafes and restaurants where key ingredients and dishes will be sampled - including Lebanese style charcoal chicken.
Both of these tours will run from 10:30am to 2:30pm and tour participants will meet at a designated spot and enjoy a quick coffee together - then the group will proceed on their respective foodie trail.
Throughout the morning and afternoon, tour participants will be shown the best places to shop and dine locally and after all the in-store tastings and a hearty sit-down lunch, your sample bag (which you will fill along the way) is sure to feature a host of goodies!
Ticket prices are as follows:
Adult Tour Ticket $80.00
Child Tour Ticket (5-12 years) $50.00
