Known for their fantastic coffee, friendly and enthusiastic staff and great food (not to mention the amazing view of the Mandurah foreshore, from both inside and outside the restaurant) Taste and Graze has become a popular haunt for those wanting a little bit of Melbourne in Mandurah.
Formerly from Melbourne, the owner and operators Terry & Andrea Strudwick, a husband and wife team, bring cosmopolitan class to the foreshore with their delicious cafe and restaurant menus. After many years in the hospitality industry between them, Terry and Andrea moved West in 2009.
The menu is regularly changed, so ring or swing by to see what seasonal morsels are on the menu. The menu is posted on the glass doors, so you check out what treats they have on offer. Food is locally sourced and Taste now has a liquor license, except on Wednesday night when it is BYO.
I've never been to breakfast at Taste, but the meals looked hearty and generous the morning I was there sipping on my coffee. Lunch is cafe style fare, which is fresh, tasty and again very generous proportions. Taste is definitely value for money. Dinner is a stylish affair, at night the restaurant transforms into a fine dining space complete with white table clothes and dim lighting.
There is none of the pretentiousness that can typify an upper end dining experience. At all times, the team at Taste keep the vibe friendly and easy. And you won't be left feeling hungry! Dinner may be fine dining with an easy edge, but the meal sizes will leave you feeling delightfully satisfied. If you are heading down to Mandurah for a weekend getaway, Taste is a must. I thoroughly recommend dinner which is a luxurious experience; sit outside and enjoy the view, have a nice glass of wine and drink in the atmosphere.
