BOFA Online (Breath of Fresh Air) Film Festival was conceived during the full fury of the pandemic and the lockdowns around the country last year. It became the first online film festival in the country and was made FREE as a way of pushing back against what the virus was doing to our lives. Now again, with Melbourne and Victoria in lockdown and the numbers shooting up, instead of closing their free online festival at the end of May, it's decided to speak up and say - Let's take a deep BOFA and push back again!

**So, BOFA Online is still LIVE and FREE until Sunday 13 June 2021
View the Online Program HERE **
You'll find Jez: A letter for Life, when a young politician is told he has incurable cancer and decides to make a film for his newborn children who will never full know their father; Rosie - about the fragility of life and resilience; the haunting My Sweet Pepperland which is a cross between a western thriller and a quirky social commentary, and a lot more. The Stories of Tasmania winners are a must watch! The Judges Awards and People's Choice picks were announced in Hobart last Saturday and now is your chance to see the winners until 13 July.

In order, the Judges Awards went to: Rare Breed, directed by Thomas Field; Tabernacle directed by Alex Laird; Row directed by Lochie Hookway. People's Choice Awards went to: Dinosaur Man, directed by Luke Scott and Zara Dawtry; Rare Breed, directed by Thomas Field; An Aquatic Community directed by Rebecca Thomson.

This event and extension is for all, including Melbournians and anyone else who hasn't seen all of BOFA's great free films. Just like with the extension of the free films, they are also extending access to their Icons of Tasmania . It's where you'll find the best of Tassie wines, spirits and food producers, and the best places to stay in Tasmania. A perfect antidote to winter or lockdown blues.
