Comedy with captivating cabaret and in-your-face honesty

Tash York is one strong character with a dynamic voice. I actually forgot that I was at a comedy show at the start, to be honest. Completely captured by her singing, I was thoroughly entertained as it was.

Once the scene was set for her performance and the witty narrative started, the laughter flowed and intensified. It was a unique comedy show with many moments of raw, sometimes cringe-worthy, honesty covering her many trials of growing up as a millennial. It had real depth.

Tash Yorks' inventive use and transformation of song - Disney tunes (she is, after all, a child entertainer also), popular 80's and 90's hits (Britney, Vanilla Ice, Ace of Base, and many, many more) and even a romantic classic - had me captivated.

A hilariously clever impromptu performance, incorporating an unsuspecting audience member, was yet another highlight of this memorable show. A particularly funny part (adult's only, I'll say no more), using a prop, had the entire audience in absolute hysterics. Her accompanying keyboard player (and singer) added his own brand of well-timed magic! Some audience involvement was fun.

Thoroughly enjoyable, it was certainly worth braving the cold, wet night to experience this class act.
