If you turn into Tarra Valley carpark, in Tarra Bulga National Park, and walk along the rainforest trail, you will find yourself in a quiet, cool, tranquil oasis. This is a perfect place to go on a hot day, as the sun barely penetrates the thick canopy overhead. The walk is quite easy, and halfway through there is a pretty little waterfall. The walk itself only takes half an hour or so.

Tarra Valley is about 2.5 hours' drive East of Melbourne. There is plenty of accommodation in the area, and it's not too far from the beautiful Ninety Mile Beach.
