Feeling the munchies after dinner? Don't like to have a coffee or a beer after a meal? Try Taro Taro for desserts. It's probably the first full-fledged Asian dessert shop in Perth.

Located conveniently along Albany Highway, Taro Taro is a Taiwanese dessert shop that also serves food and bubble tea. Most of its patrons are Asian students, which is a testimony to its authenticity as an Asian dessert shop.

What I like about this shop are the options for both hot and cold desserts. The cold dessert is ideal for summer, while the hot is great for cold winter nights. Open till 10pm or 11pm, this is a great hangout spot for people post-dinner.

I'm a sucker for this shop. The soy bean pudding is to die for. It's silkier than what you get at the Asian grocers and even yum cha places. However, the sugar syrup could be improved. And for nearly a month, the toppings for the pudding have been out.

Other well-known Taiwanese food they serve:
XL Fried Chicken Chop
Oyster Vermicelli
Herbal Jelly
