What better time to pick to fly a kite than during the summer and when the kids are on holiday from school! Don't lose the traditions and joys of flying a kite by introducing them to your young-uns, or simply having a good day out as a family. The Tarneit Kite Festival will be held on Sunday 19 January 2025 from 4-8pm at Goddard St Reserve , Penrose Promenade, Tatneit. Bring your community spirit and celebrate the magic of flight. It's going to be an awesome sight with giant soaring and swooping kites filling the sky. Bring your own kite or buy one on the day; the choice is yours. You can even purchase a DIY kit to make one of your own on the day.

A free Wyndham City event , there'll be live entertainment and food trucks to ensure a perfect day out for the whole family. Please note that there's limited stock for available kites and DIY kite kits for purchase, so be sure to get in early so as not to be disappointed. Kites using Manja Line string is also strictly prohibited. Your kites will be checked by security before being allowed to be flown in the public kite flying zone.
