Authentic country camel races are the main drawcard during 4 – 6 August, 2017 at the Tara Festival of Culture and Camel Races. Enjoy three days of non-stop fun with live entertainment, food and market stalls at a great and affordable family weekend 4 - 6 August 2017.

Festival highlights Include:
Friday
10am – 3pm Busking Competition in the main street of Tara
From 5pm Main Festival opens with food vendors and kids amusements.
Evening Extravaganza of cultural stage performances, fireworks display, live music
Saturday
Morning Country Music Breakfast
All Day
Kids Rides FREE all day and Camel Rides available (extra cost)
6 Camel Races, each followed by Yabby Races
Sheep shearing and wool handling demonstrations
Moana' Disney Show; Cultural dance
Globe of Death motorbike stunt show!
Evening Live Music & Bar to Midnight
Sunday
Morning Bush Poets Breakfast
All Day
Kids rides & camel rides (costs apply)
6 Camel Races, each followed by Yabby Races
Sheep shearing and wool handling demonstrations

And it's closer than you may think. Situated 2 hrs NW of Toowoomba, on the Western Darling Downs, Tara is accessible from the north, south, east and west by car or coach. Just follow the directions on this link. .Festival camping is available on site.
