The Festival of Dangerous Ideas returns at Carriageworks on the 24th-25th August 2024. It is a chance to go inside the installation by internationally acclaimed artists Numen / For Use called TAPE which is literally made from about 200 rolls of sticky tape.

Up to 3 people will be allowed inside at a time. It has been tested with five people inside so you should be fine. It took about 8 people just over a week to construct. It is tied to nine points, eight of which are on four pillars and one is attached to a ring above which can hold a couple of tonnes in weight. If you choose to go inside you enter through a circular hole and can then crawl and wriggle your way around a circular tunnel which is suspended about four metres off the ground. You can’t really see much from inside but people down below will be able to see your body moving around the installation.

Afterwards, if you are still feeling creative and are interested in photo-media art why not also visit the ZahalkaWorld exhibition happening now, details here.
